first strike for tac8/9

does anyone have the set up? the mag, barrel, bolt ect?

If so how do you like it? or feel its just not worth the cost.

is it worth the cost to have a "sniper rifle" strapped to your back for that, "i wish i could shoot 300ft now" moment?

i have the first strike kit in my T9, i think it is worth it, but i use the T9 as a primary, with first strikes in the mag and paintballs in a longbow mag setup. I dont think i would carry the T9 on my back and also carry another marker, just for the chance at a long shot. And according to Tiberius the first strike upgrade kits are going to be going down to $89.95, i am guessing it will happen when the T9.1 comes out.

I have the kit on my T9 as well, though I go with a full hopper of normal paint and a mag of FS (used primarily for larger scale games, too much of a target rich environment).

Though I am working on a secondary FS capable gun for those "hey look, he's standing just outside of range" moments. It will be a bolt action sheridan based long barrel pistol, with K frame.

I bought the kit around November of 2009 for my Tac8, and I have seen improvement in my performance over the original components on my Tac8. I am pretty sure that the improvements are from the entire kit, and not one specific component of the kit.

Yes, First Strike rounds are incredible. They do give you much better range. I am positive for the people shooting the Tac9 it is even better, since the Tac9 in carbine and rifle configuration are a more stable shooting platform that the Tac8 pistol.

I've got the FS on my T9. AWSOME! Last week, I managed to goggle a guy at about 300 ft. Mind you, I fired 5 rounds, only 1 hit, but i'm talking about having the marker at about a 10* incline. Would have had more hits, but it was gusting wind.

I have a T9 with a FS conversion. I wouldn't say its "nice to have strapped to your back", but if you can adapt your playing style to a longer distance game, it AMAZING. I've been running just mags, no hopper, and i've learned to do alot more slow moving and staying in more open areas. Crunched up in tight woods with lots of cover i'm just a guy with a slow firing, small capacity, heavy marker. In the open just outside of everyone elses max. eff. range, i am the Reaper.

So if thats what you would like to do, hell yes, this kit is totally worth it.
