New Tiberius Riser

This morning Tiberius announced a new adjustable picatinny rail (FSR). A version 2, if you will. The announcement was put on Tiberius's Facebook page. For some strange reason Tiberius rarely includes its announcements on it's own Forum. While there is a discussion about the rail on its forum, Tiberius isn't part of that discussion.

The announcement states that the new rail is 20% lighter and 30% shorter than version 1 of the rail. Using the old rail's dimensions, that would still put it about 4 ounces heavier and one inch longer than the Killjoy APR version 2. That said, Tiberius's rail's dimensions are much improved. Congratulations to Tiberius for mounting out a better rail. We all benefit from the competition.

i have the V1 and yes it's very heavy so a new version lighter can be good but i wonder if some scope can still may put on it.

I don't the riser length will present a problem. I use Killjoy's APRs and I believe they are about an inch shorter than Tiberius's new one.

Check out the posts uv_halo did on his v1 FSR. The v2 is basically a copy of the mods he did to his v1. He has mentioned the length he lost meant he could use flip out magnifiers anymore.

And to think I was hoping that the teaser pic they showed was for a T4.1.

Dammit.

Not likely to happen anytime soon. Sadly, paintball isn't their top priority business wise. So much potential there if they'd just listen a hair more.

Though juedging by this new riser it's clear they are paying attention, they just don't actually respond TO the customer.

See this post for how similar the v2 is to the mod done by uv_halo:

Unfortunately, to really be consistently accurate with first strike rounds at distances beyond about 50 yards you have to have some way to elevate the rear of your sight or scope. It's the price of admission.

It's cheaper than the Killjoy APR. That one runs $79 (plus shipping), and I'm pretty sure the original Tiberius FSR did as well.

I ordered one of these from Shadawg, it seemed like a good deal to me. Cheaper than the original FSR and saves me the time and tooling from modding it myself. Win in every column IMO.
