T9.1 mag issues

I just aired up one of my mags and attempted to load it into my t9.1 and it clicked like it was seated properly, the spring engaged to feed the paint, but when I took my hand away, the mag popped right back out. I attempted to load it a few more times with the same results. There appears to be little wear on the mag itself but I haven't taken the gun apart to check it yet. Is it possible I need a new mag release?

Could be the mag release isn't fully catching the mag. Have you tried doing the same thing with a different mag?

Yeah it turns out that sometimes the release only gets half engaged so you need to manually push the release to lock it in fully. I'm wondering if a metal one would be smooth enough to smooth out the motion. Or if I sanded down some of the grip frame?
