Does anyone have the metal cocking handle from trinity? The plastic stock one kinda feels like its going to break just by cocking the marker.

I have many cyclones, the metal upgrades don't make enough of a difference to be worth it, and often cause problems IMO. I don't have the squishy paddles in any of them, and can't really say I've ever had a problem with my cyclone just because of the paddle. Most of the time I had a chopping problem it was due to bad detents in the gun or a ratchet issue.

Save your money, run it stock. Get an E-Grip or a RT kit if you want "extra fun" but that's also not necessary.

Personally, the only internal upgrades I ever really felt were worth it were polishing the receivers, hammer, and the tip and ramp of the sear. And you can do those with $20 worth of sandpaper and Brasso.

As for the Cyclone, the various mods may help (Squishy Paddles are probably the best out of all of them), but ultimately the flaw is in the ratcheting/reciprocating action of the Cyclone. It SLAPS the balls into the breech instead of just dropping or pushing them like a hopper does. After my experience with probably 6 different Cyclone-equipped guns I have no problem saying that the most reliable mod I ever did to any Cyclone was taking it off, selling it, and replacing it with a RipClip. MUCH more gentle on paint, and you can shoot a little farther into the tank since the A5 will cycle at much lower pressures than the Cyclone will typically function at.

IMO, the advantages outweigh the downside of depending on batteries. Besides, it's one of the only way to get an agitated 50 round hopper (tac cap) like so many ask for. I'll take keeping a few AA's in the gearbag over having a paint blender any day.

A5 Upgrades.

as most sites in the uk dont like the E trigger i would fit your A5 with a response trigger that way you could still fire virtual full auto,
polishing is a good idea,
always peplace your "o" rings every 6 months use a good compressor oil to lube the internals,
replace your cyclone parts with the metal ratchet & sprocket,
if you want to increase your velocity fit a QEPH with a lightning rod,
But do not fit your A5 with a Red Hot power tube unless you dont want to fire under 300FPS.

I hope this info helps you.

Uh, what?

A QEPH only has wasted blowback gas going into it. It will have no effect on shot velocity whatsoever. It may keep the cyclone operating at lower pressure, allowing you to shoot farther into a tank, but it will NOT increase velocity.

And a Red Hot powertube is perfectly capable of being tuned under 300 fps. Like any other gun it's a matter of paint-to-bore match, velocity adjuster setting, and sometimes changing springs.

I have 2 A5's, one stock the other a E-grip (full auto, 3 burst, etc...), Lapco STR8shot 686, and a tech-T hammer upgrade. It really reduces the kick in an A5 and allows you to hold it on target better when rapid firing. I knock down speedballers with electros 50 % of the time. Tactics and being fast legs will always outweigh equipment ;-)

I have never used any cyclone upgrades, cyclone works fine stock, never breaks balls there, only in the barrel, occasional chopping depending on the grade of paint
