| Rec Poster Join Date: Apr 2008 Location: Cumberland, RI | Trouble with cyclone feed I have a cyclone feed on my 98 custom, it ran like a dream for about a year, never had a break. Now it is always having problems, It will not always feed balls into the gun (feeds and stops feeding randomly), right now it feeds the first few and then just stops working. I had 3000 psi left in my tank so I knew It wasn't pressure related, and I also replaced the shaft and ratchet recently. Someone recommended that I get high flow hoses, but I don't think that is it because it worked perfectly before with the standard hose. Someone please help, I'm out of Ideas. ![]() |

| Sunstar Paramedics Slave | Whenever that happened on mine, I would replace the ratchet and boom it worked fine.

I examined my cyclone feed for about the 5th time and I realized that the problems started when I put in a tech t vortex mod, and I trimmed the spring holding the cupped plastic piece against the shaft (the one inside the ratchet), I can't think of any other possibilities. Does anyone know if this would cause it? |

| Im your Huckleberry | Yeah, if you didnt trim the spring on the Vortex (some models are immune to this though), it wont work properly. Make sure that it is lubed up all nice and messy. I usually pug some good quality lube in all around it so that it is caked in and wont be able to get too far. Did this happen before or after installing the new hoses? Some people experience problems with new QEVs or hoses. Carefully inspect your setup for wear of any sort. If all else fails, revert back to bone stock and see if it works. If it does, start adding mods again in the order that you got them, but only one at a time. |
