Stripped out rear frame screw

Advice on howto fix it? I'm pretty handy, and I am thinking phantom thread inserts.

Its a 2k+ body.

Inserts, or just use larger screw. you would need to drill frame to match larger screw. it is easy

Mike uses a really strange thread for his inserts

I bought a tap, it was a little pricey

His inserts are long too

But I've done quite a few guns with em

Go to a good hardware store and try to find a heli coil kit. You drill and tap the hole the next size up, and re use the original screws. No phantom insert nessicary.

Pat.
phantom thread insert is essentially a helicoil

only difference is one tap can do 2 sizes, and you dont have to drop $60 on a helicoil thats only good for one size

helicoils can pull out too and cause a mess
cci inserts only unscrew, so if they come out, reinsert with loctite and your still good

You could get this to do the repair as well.

Helicoil 10-32

Yeah dun. Don't even ask me about the kind of luck I've been having with this bugger.

I'll tame her yet. (I damaged a freak barrel back cause the feed screw was too long)

I found out that ccm springs don't like the body, so I switched to a maddmann springkit on the ccm valve. Not it won't seal at all.

Grrrrrrrrrr. I'll get it eventually.
