Try a No. 3 drill. I Just make up some ivg s using the karni as a template. And to solve your backing out issue try loktite 222ms it's low strength purple so it should hold it in place during normal cycling but be easy to move with a tool for adjusting

So i guess it can be done, i will have an IVG soon and will probably just sand it down because It doesn't look like i have to take away much at all.

if that doesn't work, I have had success by wrapping the IVG in several layers of thread tape and it hasn't moved after about five cases

Can you use a nylon screw keep it from movig like your hammer lug? If it does move it will only move a little bit because you didnt stop on a cut notched part
