Much needed shop time therapy. Yes my bench is messy, but if it wasn't, I wouldn't be able to hide an Easter egg for an upcoming build I'm excited about. Gotta crank out these single shot pistols for Stockstice first.1 Photo

First pic: another Sleeper style build, but this time with a 2K lower.
Second build: well it's a box of parts so far. More on that later. It's gonna be a fun one for sure.2 Photos

Going through some of my stock today. These definitely had stories behind them. I think one was an attempt at a mini Lance? It was chopped and epoxied, and the only good part on it is the CO2 changer threads. The other, someone just used way too much solder, and I managed to clean it up just fine.4 Photos

I hate these posts, but I feel like I have to be honest
So this pistol was absolutely great, but one problem popped up. It only had a small 1/4" retainer ring held in by a set screw for the XL inserts, and it inevitably was lost. So a completely new tip had to be made. Now the tip will definitely stay in. It was definitely an oversight on my part, and Im glad that piece of brass is only lost, not lodged in someones lense. Stuff like this makes me re-evaluate my process, and it makes me more cautious in future builds. This is a unique problem to this unique build. It didn't have the twist lock tip like most of the other builds I've done.
The new tip came out sweet though.2 Photos

Oh thatβs clean I like it. My favorite is still the smooth top you made me. But man that looks so clean!
Good Job JC! That Pony Gunna Slay!

It came out great.
That top will patina right out with the rest of that beast. Canβt wait to rack up a few more eliminations with it!
