Re soldered a barrel retainer nut on this Palmers, and this PGP came back for a refinish and another detent to prevent double feeds.

Today has brought some progress. Detent added, I slotted the lower tube for the cocking knob I'll be adding, I also finished up the barrel tube. I just need to tap the valve, run the tiny airline, and drill and tap that hammer. Then it needs a good clean up and a plate job.

Yes a single shot, the barrel slides forward to open the breech and pop in a paintball. There's no sliding bolt anymore. I gained 2" of barrel by doing this.

I'm going to try it with 3/16 because thats what I have on hand, but I'm almost certain I'll be upgrading to 1/4" fittings for better flow.

I tried out the electro anodizing, very simple. Baking soda in distilled water, and a power supply. You need a sacrificial piece of titanium to hook to the negative, and hook the positive to the part. Dial in color by voltage.

Ok, back to the normal programmed schedule. I added a detent to prevent double feeds, and added this Speed Demon style bolt for more fun single shot action.

And very similar treatment to this Piranha. Its getting a detent and a new feed.

It looks like the copper is really coming to the surface on this, now to let it turn penny brown.

Are you trying to match some original pateena, and won't it get messed up when you do your soldering?

Finally the fittings arrived. They are definitely more bulky, but they still fit after some fiddling. I went from 3/16 to 1/4" thin wall tubing. Lots of airflow now.

This thing was already pretty custom, but now it takes XL inserts and has a breech detent for double feeds.
