Well I did the 12V mod wiring up 2 100 microferad capacitors on the input and output sides of the regulator as Tuna suggested and it was a total flipping flop. Re-wired it without the capacitors and the noise got through to the vibration sensor causing the Warp to spin constantly so I turned down the sensitivity on the board's pot until it stopped and it works great.
I understand how the capacitors filter out dirty voltage and I am nearly 100% confident I had it wired up properly however it seemed to work satisfactory without them after adjusting the sensitivity to account for dirty voltage. I'll do some tests tomorrow dry firing and with some paint RT'ing; should be seriously interesting...
It always seems to work when you have it on the bench..
