Anyone familiar with Mayhems?

Doesn't look like anyone really visits here anymore, but I picked up a Mayhem and am hesitant to throw air on it.

When I first saw this I figured there was no way the body was pressurized, must have internal firing mechanisms, but once I tore it down I saw that the body does really pressurize.

Sooo, how the heck does that thin body tube hold up to air pressure? Its more like a decorative sleeve than a structural member.

you could pull the macro and put a gauge on it to make sure its regulated under 150 psi before you start.

ya i thought they were similar to the nova. so i would do a search and be able to narrow it down to a number and make sure the reg is set and go from there.

I had a mayhem for a brief stint. Mine worked really well, until I let someone at the local field try it out and he started going crazy on the trigger and killed it. An oring and a rubber bumper broke around the poppet valve stem and I could never find replacements.

It has been years since I had mine. I tried posting up for info an it here but never really got anything at all, so I ended up selling it off.

Is yours spyder threaded or cocker?

Yeah, they run even lower. I think I ran one from an old shop compressor set to maybe 65psi? It's been years since I sold the gun off so that number night be off a little, but definitely below 100psi!
