General rule of thumb for figuring out what to mod on a gun is to play with it a few times first to see what you feel is lacking. I know a really good mod for those is doing the sprung-bolt mod which, with proper tuning can get you really good efficiency as well as reduced first-shot dropoff. Pretty sure anything else will be mostly ergonomic in nature, and therefore, highly dependent on your individual preferences.

Q-lok. roller bearing trigger.
they come stock with the he bolt/ he manifold and break beam eyes.
You could throw a virtue oled in it to get your dwell programming really dialed in vs. the stock board but other than that. you don't really need to do much, they are pretty solid out of the box.

Get a freak set!
Now that I have your address I'll ship it Monday - get it there by Friday so you can play with it this weekend!
I've never had an issue with first shot drop off or any inconsistancy. I just set the board to the program I need (PSP, NXL, Unlimited ROF) and the default settings are right on. I always used a high pressure screw in tank.
It comes stock with a q-lok. you'll love it.

Barrel is a must for any gun.
Depending on how you like the trigger, that's an option.
When I had my Octane NXT, the stock trigger was awesome (I'm a fan of swoop triggers, as opposed to blades/etc).
It had the tool-less end cap too, so that was nice.
HE bolt, but they come stock with them.
I only had a Nerve board in mine, so I didn't have all the fancy options like Tadao, or Virtue would have.
Other than that, I'd suggest a new reg as well.
Palmers, AKA, BL, something along those lines.

BEST investment on a shocker.
