Next time I'm over there, I'll pick some up.

I think it's 18x1mm used in a fuel rail fitting. I know a mechanic that works on those in Cali, I could ask as we usually talk buses (he has a 60 kombi).

I have the dimensions of the o ring at home - I will post up tonight

they are expensive - I think I was quoted $2.75 each in 100 piece lots

No even a vector could chew through that many o-rings all that quickly!

I used 14 x 1 mm orings on my old Vec. But when I got some actual AB orings, they were more like 18 x1 mm. I think they key is to get one or two of a few different sizes and test fit them to your particular Vec.

I just pulled out an old quote for these. If you buy 5000 they are $5/100. 10,000 3.25/100 and 20,000 2.75/100 So it would cost about $550 for 20000 everyone chip in. This was a quote from 1998 so I would have to get it requoted. Even if the price doubled, sell them in bags of 100 for $25 and make a killing.

Oh for the love of... Anyway I should check this thread more often I suppose. I'll see if I can't turn up a supply of either 14x1 or 18x1 or something in between. If I find a good source with decent prices I'll be sure to update the thread. Worst case scenario I buy a couple thousand as priced above and become the resident Vector AB O-Ring Baron®.

In MCBland, first you get the o-rings, then you get the money, then you get the women...

Lets get a list going to see if there is an interest in me ordering the orings. .25 each isn't too bad is it?

For that I'd get 20 just to have them on hand (and spend an even $5.00 on them).
