How do I fix a bent face shield on a mask?

I just received a vintage JT Spectra mask in a package deal. The mask is in really great shape, and it has a thermal lens, but the front face shield/grill thing is bent up from sitting in a garage box for 10+ years.

So does anyone have some tricks to straightening this thing out? I'd love to use it as a loaner, but not if the bottom is so bent that it doesn't cover the player's chin.

apply heat. a hair dryer, or maybe careful use of a heat gun. you can boil it in water, and then shape it, too.

I remove the lens and hold it over light steam, but any heat source will work with patience.

Just hang it on a doorknob overnight.

I use the dish washer without the heat drying on. All the little barbs on the rack makes so I can stretch the bends out of the lowers without a problem.

Put it on a soccer ball and leave it in your car during the day?
