Raven Primal Questions

Playing with my mound of projects and decided to mess with my Primal. Airs up great with no leaks and the bolt cycles nice and strong strong but marker does not fire. Basically like a cocker with the bolt in upside down. Don't know these types of markers at all but always wanted to play around with one. Any suggestions where to start?

Is that bolt pin into the ram correctly? I feel like it should sit further back.

Yes, I tried removing and installing it but it seems correct and is back as far as it can sit

Does it seem to shoot fine with the bolt removed?

Make sure the Valve Pin / Cup Seal is not broken. I'd look down the receiver with the bolt removed so that you can see if the Valve Pin stick out from the Valve Body. We had a bad run of Valve Pins that would break after a few hundred shots.

Thank you for the tip, I will check that out

***Yes the valve pin is sticking out and looks good/has good tension when I press on it******

So if air flows out the front of the valve to recock the hammer, air is simply not flowing through the top of the valve, then through the bolt. Not many choices here. All the permutations of bolt misalignment have to be ruled out first. If you can set the bolt on the side of the marker and prove your air passage lines up with the valve hole, you should be good. Measure, check and such. Only thing left is check the valve. Pull it and make sure the air passage is up.

The primal is a FASOR, so no blowback.

So I pulled up a pic just to see where that pin should sit because everything points to that. It still looks like your bolt is too far forward. It's slamming the pin into the front of the slot and preventing the hammer from reaching the valve, or at least from opening the valve enough.Attachment 71007
