Front block/plug question

would there be any reasonably simple way to attach a regulator via the front of a cocker body?

My first thought is of a minied body so I don't have to worry about the Vasa obviously but I have no idea if there's any reason why I couldn't/shouldn't beyond a lack of thread compatibility.

: Edit : I am specifically looking to not have the regulator vertical, I'm looking to have it parallel to the barrel if at all possible. Hence the idea to use the front of the body

Unlikely a simple way... You can tap the main hole inlet to a 1/8npt and just add the vert ASA. While it will be more of a permanent solution, it will look all jank and like an early Spyder. Then you need to fill the mounting holes for a traditional cocker ASA. By that time, you should have just gotten one for a Cocker. LOL

I figured it may not be possible/reasonable

There are a lot of resourceful peeps on here. Hopefully someone can think outside of the box of where my thoughts went.

Yes.... But kinda no.

You're talking HPR? I've tapped pre2k to 1/8 npt and installed a regulator there.... I'm building a pump that way currently.

Indeed.

I'm planning on turning a midblock cocker into a bolt action and was thinking about trying to have the reg be a little more out of the way.

I could also just buy a CCM short reg and skip this entirely

Use the block off plate inception offers for the extended reach kit. Then you could sacrifice a front block to attach a pps stabilizer to the front?

Yes, that is basically what Ken (KPCS) has setup for his Scout bodies. Given you are already working with a Mini extrusion there may not be enough material to fully drill and tap for ASA threads (CGA 320) and have room for the valve stem and spring. So you may have to either modify the top of the reg to accept the spring and valve stem assembly or you may need to make an adapter.

I don't have any body yet, so I can use a regular full body if that would be better. I was just thinking mini because it didn't have the VASA to worry about

If your not body picky go pre2k.... You'll only need to chase threads and buy an impulse vertical adapter.
