I'm evidently going the Goldilocks route, as the second one was just slightly too big, so it's really loose. The size and grip is excellent though, and I enlarged the bottom holes to allow for a lanyard. I think my next goal is a channel to allow the lanyard to go in without interfering with the knob.

Round 3 should go really well.

Already started attempt #3. This'll probably be the last one for today since I'll have to start my stream soon, but fingers crossed.

Haha, and I may end up selling one since I do think you may be correct. I'm going to get rid of some of my other guns first, though. Baby steps and all that.

V3 is the closest yet. I could technically make it fit, but it would involve absolutely slamming it down into the shell and I don't feel comfortable doing that, so I'm expanding it by a super small amount and will test print it tonight after my stream. The groove for the lanyard came out well!

Success! Was a tight fit but didn't require the amount of force the previous ones did, nice open holes on the bottom with a channel for lanyards, and best of all a solid grip to actually handle the knob.

another option would be to throw the metal knob into some boiling water and then push the knob into it, it should cause it to mould itself to the knob

Never would've thought of that! I'll keep it in mind for future designs.
