I can vouch for the Fedex fees. I live in Ontario and paid $57cdn in fees to have $47cdn worth of gear shipped to my house from the US.

Secondeded.

Titus is great for that kinda stuff. Just let him know what he should be expecting and I'm sure he'll help you out.

I'm having a mag come in the mail (hopefully today!) and it was sent via usps. What kind of fees can I expect?

none if your lucky ... I only had to pay extra on a USPS shipment when I bought something direct from Wevo ... bought a pumpkit and paid an extra $20 for taxes.

All my used parts ... no extra fees.

Depends on size/weight/value. You might have to shell out a few bucks, but nothing extreme.

I don't understand how shipping it to Titus will help. Someone's going to have to pay the USPS guy, can't you just save time and money and convince the seller to ship that way?

You will pay tax on the item's declared value just about 100% of the time with UPS/FedEx. In addition they throw a couple extra handling fees in because their guys sign your stuff through customs. It's usually 20-30 bucks, the worst I had was $50 on a $120 item. ($120x0.14 tax + $30 handling)

The most you'll end up paying with USPS is the GST and PST which is 13% right now for me in BC. I believe items under $80 are exempt.

what exactly do you have to pay the USPS carrier besides the postage?

A tip ?

We only offered up Titus in case the person selling doesn't want to ship with USPS.
