Milling the stock class adapter for a *90 offset sight?

I run an Armson sight on the top of my Phantom, and it makes for a very tall gun.
Looking at the stock class adapter, isn't there enough meat on the sides of the adapter that another dovetail sight rail could be easily milled at a *90 angle to the top one?
Has anyone ever seen this done?

I've never seen that done, but I don't see why not. In fact if you end up doing it I'd love to know how you went about that. I shoot mostly right handed and that would make a neatly profiled line of sight. I've seen some angled risers for sights, but again they leave the profile a bit tall.

Have fun milling the acrylic. Unless you've done it plenty of times before, there's a fair chance you'll chip/crack it before you're done.

I would think that this would be a good project for a one piece aluminum feed!
