a beautiful FSR Phantom

https://www.ebay.com/itm/FSR-Bolt-Ac...465?nav=SEARCH

Ok. This is just too pretty not to share.

It's not mine. I can't afford it. Ooo, but the want is strong. I've already plastered it all over the BST sections, that's not why I'm posting it here.

The mods are beautiful, but I'm curios if anyone has info on the barrel?

The description says it's a lapco, that was bought as a "blank." Clearly there is rifling on the inside of the barrel, so what do they mean by blank?

Has anyone shot these barrels or have any idea what they're like?

FSR's are super interesting to me from a geeky barrel performance perspective. Since there"s little to no public info on exactly what makes a good FSR barrel (that I've found), I'd love to learn if anyone wants to geek out on this.

"blank" barrel mean they were purchased with no thread on them. The intention is for the customer to cut the thread they need be a the manufacturer does not produce barrel with every thread that exists out there. This makes it cost prohibitive for some manufacturer to have barrel with unusual thread.
This is especially true for FSR barrel as phantom are not FSR compatible without heavy modifications.

PS: just the scope is $350 new.

That is Cansler’s first FSR phantom that he used as a prototype to make the others off of. They are fun markers. I used mine at supergame a bit, but modified the pump for it so it wasn’t using the bolt handle.

By how many orders of magnitude does the scope out range the round? I honestly have no idea but it’s comically huge, reminds of those scope-shaped hoppers.

Also, manually loading each round is a hell of a price to pay, I hope there is a heat seeking FSR on the way to make it worth having the slowest ROF of any gun on the field.

I made a bolt action FSR phantom but sold it, now I only have the CCM SSR ...

That supremacy scope allow you to shoot from 20 yard up to 80-100 yards as-is ( you will need an optimizer to go further).
It does look big on the phantom, but its an amazing scope for FSR (totally useless for round ball)

I'd say the biggest advantage to hand loading I found is not having to carry any magazines. Although if you get into a fire-fight it will be pretty rough, but having a light-weight long-range marker is nice

I'd use it at a game start to push up. Scout. Hopefully get a few kills, enough to make a hole in defenses. Then hide it in a bush and go in trusty pump secondary in hand.

Looks like it didn't sell. Interesting.

That's neat, but I'd just as soon take the elbow off of an Empire Trracer and throw a rifled barrel on there.
