RatFink's shooters

I figure it's about time I post up here. I have cut my collection down to three markers and that's all I'm posting here.

This is my S/C Phantom. I absolutely love this marker, probably my favorite and it defiantly gets the most play time. I run an old beat Micro CA II on it that the check valve doesn't work on, but I love it set up like that. I had ASP do their detent mod to the breach to prevent roll outs and that's hands down the best mod I ever did to the thing. I was able to pick up one of the last runs from LAPCO of their .682 Big Shot barrel and it's what I use 99% of the time now. I ditched the boomerang, as they seem better suited for a bucket changer and I didn't like the extra weight on my marker. I did thread an Eigen.679 to fit, but hardly have a call for it.

This is my pristine S5 I bought this one last year after longing for one for years. I just love the simple elegance of the S5 bodies and love how vert the 86º frames are. I haven't had a whole lot of time behind this thing yet, but it's not going anywhere soon. it came with the full CCM carbon barrel and sizer set. I sold the slider and pneus it came with and ordered a swing with the A/T cam, pump and because I like hit mans on my cockers, I was lucky enough to pick up a pretty rare one Bill made from his "stash" most recent addition was the red anno kill switch. Just something cool to offset how black it is. Someone once asked "How much more black could it be? The answer is none, none more black." I really like this marker, just need some more time with it.

Last up is my home made, Wally wooded, custom fabbed "Counter Sniper" I call it that because it's basically Sheridan based, but built like a sniper and uses cocker springs and adjusters. This thing took me more than four years to build. I commissioned Walz to do the wood work because I wanted some drop in the stock and grip. so it feels natural to aim. it's got .679 barrel stock that Ty McNeer was kind enough source and sell me. I machined the feed neck and back block from billet brass. The ASA and velocity adjuster were also machined from billet 6061 alloy. the trigger, guard and assembly were also fabricated from 6061 alloy. I have had a hell of a time with the gas through internal air line, but all that seems to finally be resolved with the addition of Norgen fittings and micro line from ASP. Build thread is Here.

I've always liked that sniper feedneck. I'm still working on ways to cast something similar.:

The whole thing is well done, but I would build a new marker around a cast feedneck like that.

Thank you sir, I have thought hard about how to build a blank that can be investment cast and may yet do it.
