How are you tackling the inside? It's peeling up in some places, but I don't know how to scrape it off...

Edit: Freaking clip shot out and hit me in the lip, curses!

I just gave up on the inside for now, it doesn't show, so I don't really care

I don't know how low they can go to be honest, but I imagine if a regular Tac 8 can these should be able too.

I finished stripping mine for the most part (except some tricky inner parts), but it looks about 1,000,000 times better.

Now, the real question is, do I want to keep it or get a real Tac 8 in a different trade and just keep all the mags?

Received mine. But its a funny thing, mine are anodized and literally look perfect; and shoot perfect for that matter. I'm extremely pleased, but I was going to remove the powdercoat. Instead, they both came anodized. That's a total kink in my plan, and worst of all, I like the blue color!

Moreover, how is the dissassembly of the slide / rear block if I were to decide to get them dipped instead? Never took apart my old tac-8's, and this looks confusing.

that wouldn't be too difficult, you might have a problem with the barrel pins, but that's all I see giving you difficulties
and mask the threads in the back of the slide and the inside of the valve

I can take it apart and get pics if you really want

That doesn't sound too bad. I have been messing with a-5's, and Automags since forever, but I always get unsure of myself when it comes to markers I'm unfamiliar with. Let me give it a try, then I might PM you if it goes bad.

Thanks Stripes!
