A farewell to Murf425

For those of you who had the pleasure of knowing or playing beside Clint “Murph” Murphy it is with a heavy heart that I inform you he is no longer with us. After battling his fight with cancer his time had come. Murph was an amazing person who even through his struggles always had a smile. He refused to give up on and off the field. Clint loved the sport and the sport loved him. He will truly be missed by many!

I never had the opportunity to play with him or meet him in person, but his pms and posts showed that he was a valuable part of this and the wider paintball community. Godspeed good sir. You'll be missed. Thoughts and compassion to you and your loved ones.

Double FYI for paintball rules there should be no "offer" of surrender, its either mandatory surrender at X distance when guy is behind you or no surrender and you get shot in the booty. "offer" of surrender makes for some ridiculous and dangerous john woo tactics.

Sorry to hear this news.

I hope heaven has the most amazing paintball fields.

That nelspot never needs lube, shoots 2,000 ball per second, never needs reloaded, doesn't require an air source and when the paintball hits somebody the result is the same as if Chuck Norris round house kicked them.
He nick named the gun Reggie.

Wow, I am truly heart broken, we met on this forum about 3 months ago and he truly was a great person. Just a month ago we had dinner and he was telling me about his clinical trials coming up, he was always positive, a quality I admired.

I will miss him.

RIP. We seem to be losing a lot of paintball brothers lately.

I never met Murf. We never did any business online no pm's, I'm pretty sure we never even responded to each other posts. Couldn't tell you if we ever even posted in the same thread. But he was a prolific enough poster that he became familiar. And having learned of his struggles from his own posts, I marvelled at his positive attitude. Learning of his passing here, now, brings quite a swell of emotions. Loss like this does hit home for me. But I am determined not to lose that hope that Murf had, and instead carry it on for the rest of us.

So, Murf, I address you directly for maybe the first time, now that you are gone, to say thank you. You have changed my life for the better. And in a wonderful bit of irony, you've done so not in spite of, but because of the evil that took you from this place. I hope you and your loved ones find peace. Thank you.

RIP Mr. Cornell. thank you.
