Most efficient marker?

What was the most efficient marker ever produced? What is the most efficient currently produced? I'm just curious, because I saw an efficiency video of the new 170R, and was very impressed given it's a spool valve - it wasn't too long ago that the common wisdom said poppets are efficient and spools are gas hogs. Has that changed recently?

Have you been away from the game for a while? Spool designs have been improving gas usage for years now.

Yeah I've played a couple times the past 5 years, but have mostly been out of the loop. Just picked up an Emek as it suits my needs of occasional rec play best without having to worry about maintenance between playing. I just moved back to the east coast as well, so I'll be hitting up some of my old friends to get back into it with me, and my nephew is now of-age (and seems really excited) so things are looking good for getting back in!

Thanks for that thread! Google didn't find that one..

Field 1 guns appear to be the most efficient.

Funny thing is, I could get more shots off a 12 gram with my shoebox Shocker than my Rainmaker... almost 20 compared to about 12.

I have an 07 Cyborg, and it's reputed to get 2100+ on a 68/4500. Maybe not absolutely tops, but still excellent. I never shoot that much, nor is my tank that big, but I believe it. I run a 45/4500 and have at least 2500psi after shooting a bag of paint.

its' true. Lots of markers are getting closer, but the G6R still remains the king since 2011.

BL G6R (gen6) and BL VICE (gen5) are some of the most efficient markers I've come across. Not sure if/when a gen7 intimidatior will ever be released.
