Camo was really just to go with the theme.
The entire thing is basically just for the sake of a theme, add a little flavor to the game.

Just to draw on the point about blaze orange, animals like deer and other game animals are 'blind' to blaze orange. To them it appears a more earthy tone, like a shade of brown. That's why many some hunting camos will use orange as a base colour, as it will still work on the deer, but not on other hunters.

Well, tigerstripe was meant for close range use, but your point is valid, if not somewhat self evident.

However, even the older patterns, (like woodland, optimized for a western European war) can be effective close up, depending on circumstances.

Point being, camo has uses, though movement may be more important at paintball ranges.

I probably shouldn't have commented, taking us down a rabbit hole. I think magfed-lite is probably what I'll go with myself when I get a magfed gun.

Realistically the debate of if camo is helping shouldn't even be a debate if it is. If it was such a aid, I (players) shouldn't be able to compete without it as they would be easily seen and players with camo would be woodland ninjas

If it is a big, or even moderate help it should be like asking the question " do I get more range shooting at 185 or 285"? The answer would be obvious to the majority of experienced players but yet here we are debating it

Well, you know, that and its just about the theme to change up the game.
I could duck in cover with anything just as much as I could rush a castle with anything. It’s more to “play” the scenario. The theme. The game.

O ya, don't get me wrong, if you want to dress a certain way because you love the look cool. I actually really respect the milsim players that play milsim and know the style choices often mean they are carrying around extra weight or are performance sacrifices to get the look

It's the players that insist that every rail, 2 foot long barrel and "real steel" shroud is a performance piece not just cosmetic that are abrasive to me

Seems fair.
I’ve never really “played” the game, so much as just participated, if that makes sense. I was just toying with the idea. It actually seems like magfed May be more similar to this style, but I’m not prepared for that. Haha

I have been out with it a few times now and had good results. It feeds good, if I really rip on the trigger it keeps up. Out a case last weekend I had maybe 1-2 times I needed to shake the hopper ever so slightly.

Personally when I run missions I find running as light as possible to be advantageous. I enjoy my SC phantom with a belt full of tubes and really want to get my zeus up and running so I can start running that. I've found that when it comes to missions they involve mostly running and talking other players into doing the fighting for me so the mission carrier doesn't get shot out. Also a lighter setup is great when climbing that hill no one is stupid enough to climb comes into play.
