Rebuilding my purple JT Prflex Ize...

Need some guidance with newer pieces and parts... Do the newer frames and lenses from the Proflex series still fit the older styles? My grand plan is to keep the original frame, add a new lense, rebuild the foam with a better Homebrew foam, then replace the blown out strap. If the lenses don't fit, I'll have to swap the whole frame. That will eliminate a great portion of the work, but then the frame won't match the original design (if it even fits!)

I dropped the newer lenses in my green ize no problems (at least regarding fit). I like many have experienced the shortcomings of the newer thermal (aka they aren't what they used to be).

The new thermals are okay, they just added this extremely thin film to the inside of the lens to prevent scratches while cleaning and it will slowly blister when it gets wet and delaminate off the lens. Once it comes completely off however the lens works just fine but while it's peeling its fog city up in there.

You can send the defective lenses in for an exchange for the new ones. Done it twice now.

How do you do this? The last two I've had were terrible.

They have fixed the lens issue, the new lenses have different codes on the bar code to differentiate them from the old style ones. There's a news thread on PBnation about this. Also, if you have a bad lens they will swap them out for you provided you have proof of purchase.

And yes, all new JT parts will work with your IZE, straps, frames, bottoms, ears etc.
