Troll worth $479?

I was at the local pro shop today, and the owner was selling his personal Ego 6 Troll edition. He informed me that he has sold it 3 times, and every time the person who bought it brings it back due to financial reasons. So, that ticked a red flag in my head that maybe his price was a bit over. All he did different was the ASA and trigger. Otherwise, stock troll edition. So, is his asking price of $479 high because of sentimental value (he told me it is his favorite marker, and he had owned every year of ego since release), or is that actual fair market value?

That's way over priced, maybe like $200-$250 tops.

Just did a little searching, and found one that sold last year for $400. But, $200 seems low. Hell, even $250 sounds low for a LE Ego.

Asking price on the other one was $405 a year ago.

If 3 other people returned it at that price that should tell you something. Even with a fancy color scheme there's not much more special about it over a SL66 is there? IDK, seems quite overpriced to me especially what else you can get in that price range. I mean if YOU love it, may be the gun for you but definitely not a sound investment or anything.

Don't get me wrong, I really like it, but that's why I'm asking about price. How much are SL66's going for now anyway?

So, obviously it's priced not to sell. Seems like one shop owner has too much emotional attachment to an item.
