Daughters first car

Proud of the money she saved for it. It's not much but she worked hard for it and it's better than the first car I had.

Nice. It's good you made her save for and buy it. My first car ever was an 84 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Biarritz. Aka "The Girl Getter"

Nice. The best part of first cars is that they belong to you. I think it actually helps when no one else in the family wants to drive your car. Mine was a family freebie (for good reason).

We drove my daughter's car a few times around town. I think it helped her realize we were driving HER car. She's not real possessive in the first place, and I needed her to help keep track of the maintenance. My wife burned up an engine in college, so I started that fight early.

A quote from a car dealer story "what be da muntly on dat markwiss brog-ham wit all da 'lectrics?"

(muntly = monthly payment)

I can't see a Brougham without that line coming back to me.

Nice choice on the Toyota - they go forever with proper maintenance.

There are a ton of miles on it already but it's rust free which is a rare find around here.

Should be a good first car for her. I know I've driven a hell of a lot worse.
