Is the YJ Renegade ugly? Who gives a shlt, its unique. Today, because of DOT, and EPA regulations, its getting harder, and harder to make cars look unique, and different from each other. And even though nothing else in the market is like a Jeep, there are millions on the road... all with mostly the same setup.
So I'm glad that my old Jeep is really ugly.... Its ugly and its mine

It's not that I hate street-oriented Jeeps (I'd be all over a Grand Cherokee SRT-8 if I had the money), it's just that the Renegade does nothing to make it better at either off-road OR on-road performance and looks, IMO, really weird.
Plus, Renegades never sold well because the package was a $5000 option in the early '90s ($8200 in today's money). That's half the average selling price of a car from that period. (Average $16,000 for a new car then). That's a titload of money for the world's largest fender flares and some leather trim.

And it's emissions stuff is missing. Ghetto exhaust. Glass packs where the catalyctic converters are then some muffler.

my 2006 grand prix v6 3.8
bought her with less than 20k miles. she just hit 100k on the first of the year..
and this picture is the reason she has ever been to the shop, other than inspections.. 40mph into some trees off I-80 in pa this past october, only ended up doing 5.3k$ in damage...

My new beater, $10/mo insurance, 50mpg, '89 VW Jetta 1.6 N/A Diesel, 60hp of pure, raw, slowness...
I'll get pics of mine soon, it's white and a little beat up, but not bad at all. Other cars are a '92 BMW 318i 'vert and a '85 Mazda RX-7 that should be running again this year. I stole the stereo out of my BMW since I'm not driving it for now, got 2- 6x9's, 2- 6.5", and a 10" sub in the rear deck. The car is so damn slow it should at least be comfortable and sound good...I tried to top it out and got up to 90mph after a few minutes...might break 100 with a strong tailwind

You guys with the Mazdaspeed 3s, how bad is the torque steer? Whenever I read a review about them in a magazine everyone brings up the torque steer.

My daily driver is a 01 gmc 2500hd with almost 300k. Sometimes I break out the 90 4runner. (It currently needs brakes) If the weather and roads are nice, I break out my precious, 88 lincoln towncar on 100 spoke wires with a 3 k watt system and 4 12"s in the trunk.
When I get some extra cash to throw at it, I'd really like to get my 88 Starion project up and running.
The sad thing is, being a paintballer, I also have a few of those " tank" projects laying around. I got smart last year and traded off the quad parts and the 6 wheel scrambler I had collected. Now all I have for tanks is a jacobsen golf cart, a 18 hp riding mower, and a 91 s-10 blazer. The blazer belonged to my neighbor, until one of my trees fell on it. Now I'm slowly working the $800 tab off for my neighbor so I didn't have to claim it on my homeowners ins.
