That's just cruel. 8.433mm. Crazy foreign gibberish.

If the hardware store had a *REALLY* good bit selection, 21/64" will work.

Now this is just sad.

I went to Home Depot once, looking for a screw extractor set and some line wrenches. It took the employee some 10 minutes to figure out what a screw extractor set was, and he had no idea what a line wrench was.

I happen to have one of those. And I'll definitely pick up that drill index, thanks for the link.

I used to work for a lumber yard / hardware store. Can confirm that the people who know their way around hardware are out building stuff, not selling material. Look for the one old guy that all the kids go to for help.

Oh, can also confirm that there are also lots of people out building stuff who don't know jack, either

I also wasn't sure what he meant by q bit. Most people I know would say a 'size q drill' but maybe that's just canuckistani's being weird.

I have the opposite problem. Most of the people at my hardware store are, from other experience, very knowledgable. The problem is that they're also largely (75%) Filipino immigrants and aren't great at English yet.
