Man I wish mine got that good of gas mileage. I wonder if it's because mine is the EJ255 and the 2015's have the FA20F.

Coming up on 42k on my '16 outback, 4cyl. No problems so far. Doesn't burn oil as far as I can tell. I get about 25 mpg in mixed SoCal driving, 28 mpg on trips to Mammoth. I do wish it was a bit quieter and that it had a better infotainment system (Android auto would be nice). Newer ones are supposed to be improved in both areas. Honestly if I didn't go snowboarding several times a year, I don't know if I'd choose a Subaru over some of the other crossovers out there, but it's been awesome for going up icy roads in the middle of the night.

I have roughly 26k on a 2017 Impreza with a CVT and I haven’t had any issues.

what model and year? the 2010 outbacks had an issue with the lockup function on the torque converter failing. No recall, just a TSB, subaru rebuilt my trans on their dime because of it. and it wasn't the CVT that was the issue, it was the TC

I had mixed opinions on the CVT when we first got the car, it can sound like a slipping clutch and that is disconcerting. Now after many years and miles I like it - it does its thing with no muss and no fuss

oh - and FrankW's outback is his second . . . he liked Subaru enough to buy another

Out of curiousity, those with the 2.5 turbo, around what rpm does the power come on?

You mean when does it start to spool? I think it's around 2600 or so, but I can check this afternoon.

^ with my 07 Forester manual it spools up just under 3k
No turbo lag because of the variable valve timing
Great for off the line, under 6 sec. 0-60,really sucks for driving over 80mph

no idea - google-fu shows complaints. I can only speak to the fact that the issue with my 2010 outback was fixed well past the warranty expiring and at Subaru's expense. what could have been a real PITA was in the end an easy process with good customer service.
