Spyder 2000 bolt compatibility

I just bought a Spyder 2000 on eBay and am pretty excited about it. Always thought they looked cool in the magazines.

But just out of curiosity, are these compatible with any standard bolt? Or are they special? I know it has the internal flush cocking, but I don't know if they did anything to the bolt for that.

It has to be slightly different. Can you post a pic for us?

If you pull the top tube back plug you can use almost any spyder bolt except for top cocking bolts. Some of the odd mid-length bolts (like for the imagine) can be used but you will need to use the cocking knob as the 2000 comes stock.

Hmm never realized that gun had a flush cocking system and doesn’t have a side cocking knob.

Then you would be relegated to any rear cocking spyder bolt (the kind with the long knob/handle). The mid length ones won’t work.

This is assuming you don’t care about the flush cocking system.

If you want to keep the flush cocking system, pictures will be needed but I suspect most standard side cocking bolts may be able to be modified to work.

if you dont care about the compact 2000 bolt and just want a "better" (different) bolt, you can use any rear cocking bolt.

all the bolts are the same length from the air port forward to the bolt face. Little differences between the d-tent cut outs. They are all the same diameter.

I believe the VS and RS line had the "best" bolts but can not be used for this since they are top cocking. They were delrin with an o-ring on each side of the air port.

you might be able to find a rear cocking bolt with a flat bar rear handle to use. you would unscrew the flat bar from the back of the bolt and screw the 2000 bolt handle on. Maybe
