Is it still? Took me till highschool till a teacher formally taught grammar. I had to learn from my parents.
And yeah, don't worry... the bakery brown ano was a joke. Although, I did look at the tempering curves for aluminum alloys, and it shouldn't affect the metallurgy. Just look like a steaming pile of fecal matter.

Another example of the "gamer" language that has crept into some people's speech patterns is the suffix "-zorz"
Example: "I'm so AGG, Ima get into teh snake-zorz."
Another example :The Whiteboard, a vaguely paintball webcomic by "Doc" Nickel
Agg, defined by The Whiteboard is "...when a player is so bad, and gets spanked so regularly, he keeps trying to buy newer and more expensive gear thinking it'll somehow make him better." The Whiteboard, a vaguely paintball webcomic by "Doc" Nickel
Recently, agg has been spelled in "1337" (or leet) speak with the numbers 499 on Pbnation.
I was on here last in 2010. Thanks for the memories.

Im your Huckleberry
I havent seen much of anything in the way of standardized English from most of my "peers." Of course, that could be because I go to a school where half of the kids are failing at Math, English, and the Sciences and the school is given a "Satisfactory" grade from the state.
Bingo on the 1984 reference though man!! You are doubleplusgood!!! Almost all of the words that we speak are words degraded form the proper language of someone else. Take cool for instance, the object is most often not cold to the touch, but hey, its slang.
Here is one that I havent seen mentioned:
Pod Monkey: A person on the team who fetches and or fills pods after/before/during games.
Leader of the Banzai Charge
Check out Action Acres, great place to ball!

Gat or Gatt. My pet peeve.
Unconscious Incompetent: You don't have enough knowledge to even realize you can't perform a given task.
Conscious Incompetent: You gain just enough knowledge and skill to realize that you suck at a given task.
Conscious Competent: You gain skill through practice and eventually can do a fair job at a given task with a lot of conscious effort and thought.
Unconscious Competent: Eventually, after enough practice, the given task will become second nature and it will no longer feel "uncomfortable".
