Looks great. But I think I’ll stick with my cvo. It seems maybe PE dropped the ball on releasing this one so late/after the Emek. Maybe die hards and tournament players will get them, but I don’t know about the average rec baller.

Planet Eclipse releasing mechanical Gtek M170r

I think PEís recent history of testing the waters with mech guns before larger releases is a good sign that they arenít going to over commit on this. I also donít imagine theyíll need to sell many mech versions for the 170R platform to be a winner overall.

I see PE reaching a little deeper into the old AutoMaggot pool with their mechs. Besides being "not SP", their low end markers are more maintainable than the Gog enmey, with its disposable 3-way and buried detents.

After playing with an Emek, an M170r wouldn't be out of the question.

From what Jack Wood was saying on PBN, they got bogged down by demand on the Emek and it set them pretty far behind schedule.

High end mechs are a tough market in general... I know people like having a modern, reliable gun to play mech with, and the new mech spools do that very well. But I think half the appeal of plaing mech is playing with something like a cocker. Maybe that's just me.
