50 Caliber FSR from First Strike

Looks like there are 50 Caliber FSR in the works from First Strike:

I hope they come soon. Could be some really interesting options for sidearms.

Dumb newb question regarding these since I have never seen one, is the fin section on those biodegradable and made of the same gelatin as the paintball shell?

No, the shell is not biodegradable. It's made of a real plastic. The shell on FSR is also not gelatin, I can't remember its exact composure.

Well that sucks, that just took them and a marker for them off my things to consider buying.

Why not gelatin or a compressed starch?

Note that only means they degrade in light faster than normal. But faster does not necessarily mean fast.

"Questions have also been raised about the possible byproducts of photodegradation. It is possible that the very additives used to make a plastic photodegradable may have toxic or other harmful environmental effects"
