No response as of yet. If I can get ahold of him I'll propose picking up everybody's stuff and seeing about returning it.

He hasn't responded, and in fact seems to have blocked me.

I think we are well past the statute of limitations in California. But... you might get him on mail fraud and other stuff since its a multi state issue.

What's the statute of limitations for theft? The answer depends on many factors, such as the value of what was stolen, and of course the laws in your jurisdiction.

For example, the statute of limitations period may be three years in California for a felony theft. However, if the crime is considered a misdemeanor, the statute may only be one year. However, the limitations period would be different if you lived in Arizona or New Jersey.

To figure out which statute of limitations applies in your specific case, you will need to talk to a local criminal defense attorney. But here are some general considerations:

Note to self: don't ever start a paintball side gig offering interesting service or everything in your life will collapse and you will hit rock bottom and do things you never would have considered like rip people off.

Seems so common.

Whenever someone tells me how much they like something I've made (regardless of what it is) followed by the statement "You should make and sell these - you could make so much money!" I think of how often this has happened on this board.
