Ottawa PSI closed??

Hey gang, a local baller friend of mine went to PSI tonight and apparently PSI is closed? Something about the lease not getting renewed? Does anyone have any info?

I hope this isn't true, otherwise winter is gonna be long and boring :(

Bailiff did a lockout after landlord distrained... Assets will be held by landlord who will sell to satisfy rental arrears.

Sad day... I hope John is o.k...

Oh no... I'm so sorry to hear this! I've been reading how the paintball economy was dwindling down and I guess I was hoping this didn't affect us in our area, but it looks like not even the great O-Town is safe from it.

Hopefully this won't affect the folks at PSP or the other Proshops in their network, such as Brian :(

So he didn't pay his rent and got booted?
I'm wondering what the actual cost was to run it, minus personal wages.
I just don't see paintball anywhere being a good business decision.
unless you have free rent/land and don't pay your "employees" you can't make a living off of it especially in our small demographic

well, I don't know this for a fact, but for a landlord to distrain they need a cause, and non-payment of rent is usually the cause. I believe the note may have even said something to that effect?

Well that just blows! I got to play there only once. Wasn't PSI the only indoor field in the ottawa area?

CJ, guess you'll be coming by MTL more often this year? ;)

Do those individuals holding memberships have any recourse? I'm asking on behalf of Elmo and his friends.

you can't get blood from a stone, eh? so: no, not really... Paintstorm seems to be officially dead...

well, in a perfect world some generous folks could just rent it and make it into the Canadian MCB embassy ;)

Seriously though, what are you guys going to do for the winter season? I was under the impression PSI was the only indoors field in the area?

Guess we will have to do road trips to Torronto or Soldier Gear in Angus
