Shot count isn’t the only great thing about this air system, lighten your loadout by over 3 ounces when switching from its aluminum 13cu 3000psi counterpart.

15cu Carbon Fiber Bottle
13.2 Ounces with Hero2 Regulator
UN/ISO Label
Re-Hydro every 5 years
2 Inch Diameter

Sounds amazing until you see the price - $200

Can we talk about the certification on these, and their usage in the USA? Another gentlemen mentioned to me that the ISO cert is becoming standard on bottles.

ISO certified bottles can be legally refilled in the US given it complies with 49 CFR 178.71. It has been adopted each bottle will be labled for use USA. Composite bottles have a re-certification every 5 years. I happen to researching this because I have 2 17 cuin bottles one marked DOT and one ISO but otherwise identical.

15 year fixed lifespan or every 5 until it fails?

Not falling under 3AL kills it for me.

15 year due to carbon wrap.
Hydro every 5

Why is this, 3AL has nothing to do with composite bottles? There are no DOT 3AL bottles that are rated for 4500 psig. You want a 3AL bottle in this cuin range you'll have to settle for a 17cuin and 3000 psig and hope it has the 3AL markings. As I said I have two brand new ones that are identical from the same mfg and one came DOT 3AL and the other ISO marked.

ISO bottles have been okay for use (transport and refilling) in the US for 15 years now [as I've found out in my research]. The problem now is helping educate the paintball populace to that fact. In fact a comparable bottle under ISO standards are tested to a higher standard when compared to the comparable bottle under the DOT standard. It actually looks like the DOT is actively working toward aligning with ISO standard so they can drop maintaining US specific standards. Embrace the change

Sure we can. It’s like the rest of the First Strike UN/ISO bottles, they have USA endorsement and are globally accepted. We wouldn’t bring it to market otherwise.

Generally correct and will most likely be the case for us in paintball but the ISO standard allows testing and certifying for more then 15 years but there are special requirements and markings required and DOT has adopted this in 49 CFR 178.71.

The fact they are aligning of standards between DOT and ISO is really good for us. There are a lot of different bottle sizes out there that were never certified under DOT that have have not been available to us before.
