MCB Meetup: October

So who's up for a meetup sometime in October? I haven't had the chance to attend any of the other ones but now that I live in Toronto I should be able to. When should it be, obviously Thanksgiving weekend is out for many (myself included). Would a field in Toronto work for most people?

Party 09-30-2009 06:44 PM

It should, and i'd love to get in but i'm pretty sure i'm flying/working every weekend in October. :(

Dagdamor 09-30-2009 07:01 PM

I'd be down, Toronto is probably the best choice as well

Prepaid Lenin 09-30-2009 07:26 PM

There is that new field opening in Oshawa, it's supposed to be the bomb. I'm hitting it up with Moosepatrol in 2 weeks if things go correctly.

Moosepatrol 09-30-2009 08:20 PM

Sorry Prepaid I was supposed to let you know. Not a problem with you guys playing. I completely forgot about it. As for a meet-up I wouldn't mind seeing you guys again.

LK-13 09-30-2009 09:59 PM

considering how well Sgt.Splatter's treated us I would suggest we hold the meet up there, maybe make a regular once a month thing out of it.

lord knows you only function well together after you play together.

i'll run this buy the UMS guys as well if you guys are game.

it was a great day when we had the UMS / MCB day at Splatter's in the begining of the season as many will remember.

p-bpat 09-30-2009 10:32 PM

Wasaga is having their big player appreciation day on the 25th I believe.
Can you guys make it up there?

Zerbob 09-30-2009 10:41 PM

Pending on when this happens, I *may* be able to come. I've already made some plans for the weekend of the 25th and I can only really afford to go once a month right now. However if the date gets pushed into November, or another one happens in November I'd be game.

p.s. Sgt Splatters is pretty good. I don't like the sand base, but the field is pretty good.

Rich 09-30-2009 11:20 PM

100% in

Moosepatrol 09-30-2009 11:30 PM

Splatters was good, anybody else for Splatters? Also a definite date?

dukie 09-30-2009 11:30 PM

There is a good chance I can go, depends on the weekend though. I have a couple of weekends of family stuff in october.

Bob T Guy 09-30-2009 11:34 PM

I wish I could make it, but my October is pretty crazy booked :(

There is a big game taking place at Ottawa X-Treme Paintball on the 25th, if anyone's interested Ottawa X-Treme Paintball

Prepaid Lenin 10-01-2009 12:02 AM

Splatters, this time I'm driving, and I'm gonna crank that **** up. HEAR ME TIM?

Nigel 10-01-2009 12:54 AM

How's the 17th or 18th for people? Been to Splatters once.. wasn't impressed but I'm sure it will be better with you guys.

Graf Orlock 10-01-2009 01:31 AM

I would suggest defcons out door field at downsview park..... pretty cool little field and prices where decent too.... there's allso a go-carting track beside it:D.... Im going to a casino tomorrow if i win big on the slots... i will see you guys there :D

Nigel 10-01-2009 12:48 PM

Prepaid are you talking about Next's outdoor field? I just got this in an email, sounds decent

Graf Orlock 10-01-2009 01:15 PM

Defcons outdoor field is literally half the price and accessible by ttc ..... dosnt matter to much to me.... very unlikily i can come up witht eh cash to fly out from Halifax :D

Defcon Paintball

Prepaid Lenin 10-01-2009 01:16 PM

Moosepatrol knows a lot more than I do. I'm pretty sure that is not the one. Sector 57 is the name of the store in Oshawa that the field is coming from.

Defcon Paintball

Huge selling point for me, my vote would be down for defcon in that case.

sunshaker 10-01-2009 02:06 PM

Depends on the location and weekend (as I work Fridays until 11pm Saturday morning games are difficult, especially if I have to drive a few hours).

Nigel 10-01-2009 04:43 PM

Good point Graf, I didn't think about the ttc, which I need to get to whatever field! I've heard lots of good things about Defcon, who's up for there?

Prepaid Lenin 10-01-2009 04:57 PM

I like it more than Splatters. It's the difference between me having enough paint for the day as opposed to counting coup from lunch onward.

Bobby 10-01-2009 11:01 PM

I am down, pending cashflow and if I can get a ride (Dukie?[Gas money/Timmy's will be paid for or possibly the ghetto cocker I have could be yours.])

Dagdamor 10-01-2009 11:42 PM

I can make just about any day and I'll bring some fellow pumper teammates out with me. The field doesn't matter much to me as I never get to play in T.O. but remember its getting colder and wetter(?) outside!

Marauder_Pilot 10-02-2009 01:05 AM

A new indoor field, supposedly the biggest in Canada, just opened (Today, even) in Windsor. You should all come down here. :p

Hey, I was there all summer flying out of the airport in my 'lil Skyhawks! :)
Biggest in Canada, eh? Got any more info?

p-bpat 10-02-2009 08:45 AM

I'm down for defcon's outdoor. Awsome fun!
Good guys too.

Marauder_Pilot 10-02-2009 03:05 PM

Windsor Xtreme Paintball

It's built inside what used to be a GM Engine Plant, and features a full-size speedball field and indoor urban field. Here's a pic of the layout, they don't have any pics of the field itself up yet (Just 'soft-opened' last night, they should be fully open sometime this month):
https://www.windsorxtremepaintball.com/images/fields.jpg

EDIT: The speedball field is 20,000 square feet, about the same size as Flagswipe Indoor's, so I can believe that it's big. The urban field is about twice that big.

Zerbob 10-02-2009 10:08 PM

If we go to Defcon, it would be a lot easier for me since I'm in Hamilton. Anything TTC accessible is much friendlier.

gunman_2000 10-03-2009 06:06 PM

MP...im actually thinking about a road trip now lol
3hrs isnt so far. hmmmmmm

Graf Orlock 10-04-2009 12:10 AM

So has a date been set for this yet?

Epic_Scotsman 10-04-2009 05:09 PM

I'd be interested but I'm in Montreal anyone heading through?

Prepaid Lenin 10-05-2009 10:21 AM

24th and 31st are best for me.

Nigel 10-05-2009 12:20 PM

17th or 18th are the only ones that work for me. Thanksgiving is out and the weekend after the 17th is my reading week.

Prepaid Lenin 10-07-2009 02:55 PM

We can't let this flounder guys!

gunman_2000 10-07-2009 10:21 PM

if a day gets picked I should be able to make it regardless.
I agree that Splatters did treat us very well at the last gathering.

Nigel 10-07-2009 10:56 PM

How about we say.. the 17th (so I can go :p) at Defcon, or possibly Sgt.Splatters.

On my way to class today I realized it is getting cold real fast, so maybe splatters isn't a bad idea.

gunman_2000 10-10-2009 05:40 PM

well looks like some friends of mine want to go to Defcon on the 17th. If the meetup doesnt happen there, maybe i'll try to drag them to splatters or wherever it is on the day.

Otherwise Nigel you're welcome to join us.

dukie 10-10-2009 05:53 PM

I'm out for the 17th. Have family commitments

Graf Orlock 10-10-2009 06:45 PM

I was planing a little trip back to Toronto... There's a chane I could do the 24th
