That is really the main issue with them over time. Those fingers let go earlier than they should causing it to not hit the the valve under full tension.

I’ve worn out two sets of those in mine...

If you are using a bucket changer, a spring, oring, and small bearing makes a check valve pretty easily. A little trial and error and you’re ready to rock.

The Nuka Rifle is defiantly a head turner. Terribly impractical for anything but a wall hanger but it does shoot and is playable. Built it at the height of my Fallout playing days....
