So, I just picked up a KP that needs some love. It sat in a garage for years I'm told.

My question is: Wasn't there a small run of KP-3 bodies that came from the factory set to use 12 grams? I seem to remember having this discussion on here years ago.

The gun is a factory direct feed body with a shorter lower tube. (That shouts KP3.) The gun is set to run off from 12 grams and the stock does NOT have the extra hole for a missing tank bracket. Yes, it could be a replacement stock, and yes, someone could have made a 12 gram rod for the gun back in the day. I just recall a conversation discussing a short run of guns released with DFs and 12 grams.

Anyone else recall this?

I have one like that. I was told by c6quad that is was a KP2DF, said small run either right before the kp3 or almost at the same time.
He as one or 2 still in factory boxes labeled as KP2 direct feed.

This thread had a rousing round of discussion on the subject, and you were there.

Is your trigger group the cone or round cylinder? Cone would have been sheridan. Cylinder would have been PMI piranha series.

It is a Sheridan style angled rear plug.

Thank you! I knew someone here would remember the conversation.
So I picked up a KP2DF.
