My Shop

The shop has been through a number of iterations since I started this about a few years ago. The first machine that I picked up was an old 10" craftsmen lathe. Ty again helped me out a bunch of this and helped me get started on the right foot. The shop has steadily grown since then to a number of "permanent" machines that I hope to keep for the long haul (I'm not known to hold on to something for that long though). I've definitely got a handful of other tools I'd like to add to the collection but I'm in no rush...

My permanent machines are:
-Tormach 1100
-Sheldon 10" manual lathe (this one is on hold to be picked up)
-Prolight CNC Lathe
-Syncrowave 250dx Welder
-Esab Multimaster 260 Welder
-American Bender Hydraulic Tubing Bender

I've been fortunate enough to have a few different lathes and mills run through my hands but I have settled on the list above and am very happy with the capability of the machines. They definitely far exceed my talent and will for quite some time.

My first lathe:

I then picked up a gorton mill and hardinge lathe that I held on to for some time:

My next purchase was actually a BIG viktor lathe. I never even got to run this as the 3phase motor was too big for my converter at the time.

The shop at this point was then packed

After selling the viktor lathe and hte hardinge lathe I was able to pick up a tormach locally. I am really happy with this machine and was lucky enough to have Ty check it out for me as I was away at college at the time. The machine itself was filthy and I spent a few weeks just cleaning it up...

Since the tormach I picked up the two welders and the lathe (and a handful of machines I have bought and since sold). I've put a hold on buying more tooling until I get the shop moved (unless something really nice pops up!). The shop is in a significant amount of disarray but this is how it looks as of today:

Replied to your PM but I am taking work now, metal work is a much longer timeline than design or printed work for reference.

Won't necessarily be using this for paintball too much but picked up a torch set yesterday to add to the shop.
