G1 board upgrades?

Buddy of mine gave me his g1 to fix and he asked if I can pour some fun sauce on it with the upgrades. Currently it has a moderate leak but fires. I'm assuming this is the noid. But I figure while I have it I might as well install a qev and see if I can find a blackheart board or other board so that way he might actually go paintballing with me. Any ideas where I can get a black heart board. I don't even care if it's used

Anyone out there? I found a envy blackheart and solenoid and it looks pretty identical to a g1 board and noid except the eyes, can I just detach the eyes or is there a way that I can easily install the eyes on the g1?

The G1 should have the same eyes as an Ion. You may have to also get a wiring harness for the eyes.

Convert it to mechanical. Much cheaper and way more reliable.

Not my gun and not what he wants. Trust me if it was mine it would have been a mech

On another note I found a board for the g1 on newegg.com. I have never heard of Newegg is it a safe site to buy from

Yes. Very surprised it's on there. They are known for computer components. Been around for a long time. Definitely trust worthy.

The Envy board and noid are cross compatible with the SP1/G1,Vibe (Envy) and Extcy
If you want add eyes (recommemded) you have to get the brech&can milled out for eyes.
All the eyed Smart Parts and GoG guns use the same eyes and eye wire
I'd recommend also replacing the board and noid at the same time
The noids are super fragile on these things, never over pressurize it
Unfortunately SP/GoG stopped putting gauges on their products when they switched from the original Ion board and noid...big Fn mistake on their part
