I know I had shown this on MCarterbrown.com 1 but the pics were not that great. I finally took some better pics and here is what I am assuming is a prototype Sniper. It has a universal Left or Right Feed setup on it, Let's here some input on it.
interesting feed . . . but beside that it looks like just a Sniper
would be cooler if it had a sheridan frame on it
I got a bunch of parts in a lot that needed to be assembled and this was what I made. I have older frames also, but the paint was messed up on it so put these on. I am sure I have some older frames I can put on here, just hate the uglyness factor.
Is that a quick-pull bolt? I got one of those in a lot of parts last Summer. Interesting piece...not sure how old, but I'm guessing ooooold. I gave it to...uh...Carter or Tugboater...can't recall which. It needed a real good cleaning as the plunger was very stiff, but you gotta wonder why (assuming it was a WGP piece and not aftermarket) Bud didn't stick with that design and instead kept the often annoying pull-pin setup. If I had the money, I'd have PPS make me a Blazer-style quick-release bolt. Or, I could just use my Blazer :p
IIRC one of the talented airsmiths did the conversion not WGP.
Very neat! Does it have the WGP patent pending stamp?
Is the area where the feed fits on raw or annoed?
yes that is a quick pull style bolt, not sure if it belonged to this model or not, but was what I put together with it.
As for a conversion I am not sure, this doesn't have any serial numbers on it, or even the standard patent pending stamp that the early models had stamped on them
Wycke- It wan't me so it must have been Carter.
I love that there isn't a serial # on this although the ASA looks slightly newer. I know you can't judge the age on that alone but most of the garage Snipers had square ASAs.
Also is there a hole in the far end of the pump? Budd drilled the original pumps straight through.
Interesting piece there AP, nice.
