LP tank

Short question, i'm considering gettnig a Sterling STP pump but i only have a 68/45 with a Pure energy LP reg on it. Would it work and shoot good velocities? or do i really have to get that HP reg?

Thanks

Tuning should get it to work right. Have you thought about picking up a Co2 tank for it?

Nah, around here the fields almost never offer Co2, so i'd prefer to use my HPA tank.

I'll see what kind of velocities i can shoot with the LP tank and otherwise change it out with a HP regulator.
On a HP reg it does work right? i've had some sheridans that even with a HP reg they shot low velocities but they were not adjustable at all.

Shortly after I got mine I used my 68/45 Ninja & was getting 260-270 IIRC. I want to say that reg is somewhere around 650-750 output. The Sterling also had an insanely hard valve spring & before I shimmed the main nearly .25".

I never put a gauge on her while I was running a Female or Vert Male Palmer. I have since swapped to 12 grams & AGD Micro CA so pressure isnt a concern unless I tune it lower & put the female palmer back on there.

Thanks, that helps.

I'm thinking of selling/trading the current tank i have now for a slightly smaller one anyways, one with a HP reg.

Look into a Ninja reg. They arew adjustable from ~450 to ~800 with shims.

Good to hear,

I ordered my sterling (still has to be built at factory it seems) and got a new smaller tank too, this one has a pure energy high output reg so should do fine i guess

Thanks
